Update from the CEO - May 8, 2020
I wanted to update you on how our people and facility continue to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide you with information on how we are operating within current public health and safety guidelines. The facility remains closed, and all programs and events have been cancelled until June 30, 2020. In addition, to support our customers, we have not and will not charge any fees during the Ordered closure.
As per the most recent communications from Premier Jason Kenney regarding Alberta’s Relaunch Strategy, Recreation Centres have been placed into Phase 3. While this news is very positive, the government has been clear that moving from one stage to the next will depend on our ability to keep infection rates low, and will be based on health indicators. As such, the Centre continues to take as many actionable steps as we can to ensure our facility can reopen quickly when it is safe to do so.
Repsol Sport Centre is closed until further notice.
We continue to be closed, temporarily as mandated by CEMA and the Government of Alberta until further notice due to COVID-19 outbreak.
We understand our Members, 10/12/30 Day card holders, program registrants and stakeholders have many questions. Trust we will take the best course of action and do right by our community. In the meantime, let's all do our part to help stop this pandemic in its tracks – calling for cooperation, patience, hand washing and, yes, isolation. We can do it.
Full Pay Annual Members/Fee Assistance Pass Holders
Repsol Sport Centre will extend your membership from March 15 to our full reopening date. There is no requirement to contact us, as this will be done automatically.
Monthly Annual Members
Repsol Sport Centre will freeze your Membership until we are fully re-open. You will not be charged for April 1, or any future monthly payments during our closure.

30 Day Card Members/Fee Assistance Pass Holders
30 Day Cards that are currently active as of March 15 will automatically receive a prorated credit on their account based on the remaining value of your membership. There is no requirement to contact us.
10 Pass Cards/ 12 Days of Fitness Pass/Fee Assistance Pass Holders
As the 10 Pass Card/12 Days of Fitness has a 2 year expiry date, you can restart upon our re-opening. We will also extend the expiry date for the length of time we are closed.
Executive Locker Room Members
Any items you may have left behind will be safely stored for you when we re-open. Please note your executive locker room fee’s will follow the same process as outlined in the above member communication around membership options.
The facility is unable to loan out equipment due to the COVID 19 virus risks. Please check with Kijiji, Costco or Apple Fitness.
We are saddened to have to stop all activities under our tent and temporarily lay off the majority of our amazing staff members. Currently, only a few key essential roles remain to ensure our facility and our stakehoders needs are met. This closure affected tens of thousands members, pass holders and program participants, as well as thousands of our sport partner athletes and the majortiy of our tenants. We remain hopeful that in the next few months we can all return to our new normal and that includes getting our gym and swim routines back to.
